.24 Disaster Plan.
A. Written Plan. The facility shall provide for a written disaster plan which shall be rehearsed by all shifts once yearly. The plan shall cover procedures to be followed in the event of an internal or external disaster.
B. Employees' Orientation and In-service Programs. Employees' orientation and continuing inservice programs shall cover all aspects of the facility's disaster plan such as:
(1) Procedures for prompt transfer of casualties and records;
(2) Instructions regarding the location and use of alarm systems and signals and of fire-fighting equipment;
(3) Instructions regarding methods of containing fire;
(4) Procedures for notification and assignments of appropriate personnel.
C. Documentation of Employees' Instruction. Records in the facility shall include documentation of content, participants, and date of instruction regarding the disaster plan. All personnel, on all shifts, shall participate in instruction and in drills. It shall be the responsibility of the administrator to assure that each employee in the facility receives sufficient training and practice to adequately perform his assigned duties in the event of fire or other disaster.
