Voices is worth it -- Voices for Quality Care is a non‐profit organization that provides services to residents and families at no charge and works to improve government understanding of and facility compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Voices has made major changes in how people think about long‐term care by 1) conducting a series of Culture Change workshops, 2) advocating successfully for a new Maryland State Long Term Care Ombudsman along with a more effective program (click here for additional information), 3) requesting that the U. S. Administration on Aging and the Office of the Inspector General of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services investigate the firing of the Florida Ombudsman (see AoA report), as well as accomplishing many other less visible changes in government procedure and policy. For instance, family members in Maryland can now get leave of absence medications without 3 days' notice to the facility whena resident wants to leave a facility for a day trip of any kind.

Residents and families deserve help --In order to continue the services listed above and other services, Voices relies on gifts and grants from the community. Voices for Quality Care is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-exempt. A gift in any amount would be appreciated. You can mail a check to
